Open Letter to Our Contractors and Dealers:
Backyard America is currently in a dispute with a California company named
The Grape Authority. The owners, Keith Wall and April Wagner, ordered
a Sonoma Pergola with wall panels for more than $6000. Mr. Wall reported
some damage several days after receiving the shipment. He has repeatedly
admitted that he did not bother reading the shipment receiving instructions
and did not inspect the shipment at the time of delivery. Although he has
provided no proof of damage, the worst case cost is approximately $650.
Instead of making a claim for the amount of the alleged damages, he
successfully back charged the entire amount of the purchase. They now think
that they are entitled to the pergola for free. He has the pergola and the
money.
We are in the process of taking various actions against The Grape Authority,
Mr. Wall, and Ms Wagner in an effort to force him to pay for the structure
that they are currently using. We strongly suggest that you avoid doing
business with these individuals and their company on anything other than a
cash up front basis. We will not ship any products to the individuals or
company.
Please free to call me if you have any questions or information that might
be helpful regarding these people.
