WOW! Talking about your outdoor great room! The Sonoma
is an outdoor living center. This pergola is constructed
with white cedar and sealed with a stain that contains as many UV
inhibitors as possible, which slows down fading. The wood is also dipped
in stain to ensure the best coverage. We suggest staining every third
year.

Installation:
All pergolas come with post fastening brackets and fastening is recommended to
a solid surface. The pergola should take about four hours to assemble
by two people. Lighting is not included, however adding rope lights or
individual fixtures is easy and can be hung from the pergola beams.
Features & Options:
All of our Sonomas include lattice roof panels for maximum shade. Easy to install, they just drop into the framing of
the roof. The kit includes panels which will cover the entire roof. For
privacy, we offer optional cedar privacy walls as well. They are sold in sets of four
which will fill one side. We also have stucco clad post bases to dress up the roof
support posts. They are sold in pairs and cannot be used with the
privacy wall panels. |
Shipping:
The pergola is shipped by common carrier (tractor and trailer) from
our facility in Manassas, so
you will need someone to meet the driver and unload it. The pergola is shipped in a
wooden crate with the roof panels in four boxes on a second pallet.
The crate can be unloaded piece by piece very easily and the boxes for
the roof panels weigh 64 pounds each. The wall sections are
shipped in 2 boxes and are a total of 160 pounds. Post
bases are packed 2 per box and it is 51 pounds. The boxes for all of the
components may be opened for easier unloading. Two people can
usually unload a complete kit in about 20 minutes.
Special Note:
 Almost all of the pergolas that we offer are exclusive to Backyard
America. The Sonoma is an exception. You can find other websites that
offer this same pergola. But there is a difference. Like the
others, we used to have our Sonomas dropped shipped by the manufacturer.
That didn't work very well - more than half were damaged, missing parts,
or the wrong color by the time
they got to our customers. We liked the product so much that we decided to
continue to offer it, but with some important changes. All of our Sonomas are shipped directly to our warehouse in large containers. We
inspect each one, and if they are complete and undamaged, we then add reinforcement and additional packaging to ensure that the kit
arrives at your location without missing parts or damage. After making
these changes damaged shipments went from well over 50% to only one unit with minor
damage last season. Backyard America is the only retailer with the
sales volume and experience to offer this kind of service.
Warranty
There is a 1 year warranty on the exterior finish and a 1
year structural warranty.
