Pergolas
are typically considered a structure to support a shade
system or plants that will provide shade. However the
structure will also provide some shade - the amount depends
on the configuration that you select. We have created
animations that show the amount of shade the structure alone
provides for a south facing patio. The simulation goes from
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on a mid-summer day for three
configurations of our Potomac Pergola.
